As a part of the school’s commitment to academic excellence, a limited number of A-Level scholarships are offered with the objective of providing an outstanding education for very able and gifted students.

A-LEVEL SCHOLARSHIPS @ ISP

ISP offers different types of scholarship which are effective for the full duration of the A-Level course.

(i) The ISP Scholarship Programme
(ii) The ISP Bursary Scholarship

THE ISP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

The Scholarship Programme is available to Year 11 students who are currently studying at ISP for their IGCSE Examinations and are intending to continue into the Sixth Form @ ISP. They are available to four ISP students in the categories shown below.  Partial scholarships are based on the published Tuition Fees

Full 100%

The Yaw Teck Seng Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to the ISP student with the best overall IGCSE results when issued in August

Partial 50%

The ISP student with the second best overall IGCSE results when issued in August

Partial 50%

The ISP student with the third best overall IGCSE results when issued in August

Partial 50%

The ISP student with the best overall ‘Value Added’ score calculated from the IGCSE results issued in August

Three of the scholarships mentioned above are awarded to those students achieving academic excellence. The fourth scholarship is awarded to the student who achieves the highest ‘Value Added’ score, which is a calculation based on a student’s actual IGCSE results measured against their predicted IGCSE results from the Cognitive Ability Tests taken at the start of Year 10. The calculation to determine the winner of each of the scholarships mentioned above will be based upon nine IGCSEs taken in Year 11.

All of the scholarships mentioned above are awarded based on statistical data and are not subjective decisions in any way.

The Board also reserves the right to offer additional scholarships to any student who has demonstrated excellence in other areas of the school, such as sport, creative arts, performing arts, etc. When the IGCSE results are published in the August of each year, the four deserving students will be offered scholarships based on the table above.

If any of those students decline the scholarship offer, then an offer will be made to the next student on the respective rankings. Please note that the scholarship award winners can only be confirmed after the IGCSE results are formally released by the respective examination board. In the unlikely event that two or more students have identical examination results, then the percentage value of those scholarships will be equally shared between the respective students.
