We are delighted to welcome back award-winning author Andy Mulligan to ISP next week. Whilst his best known work is probably ‘Trash’ (now available across the world in thirty different languages, and also turned into a successful movie), Andy has written many other well-known books, radio dramas (including several recorded for the BBC) and screenplays.
On Tuesday and Wednesday Andy will be running writing and drama workshops for Year 6 and 7 students, learning how fiction can be dramatised, based on how this was achieved with ‘Trash’. On Thursday our Year 10 students will work with Andy in various English literature workshops, and also find out about the journey to becoming a professional writer.
Andy is a highly accomplished English and drama teacher, and also a good friend of several staff at ISP. His last visit to us was four years ago in 2013, and below are some photos from then. You might notice some of our now Year 12 students looking much younger!
We look forward to welcoming Andy to school on Tuesday for an exciting and creative three days.
