Today marks the end of the first half term of the school year, with our mid-term break following next week. So much has been achieved across the school over the past six weeks, thanks to the combined efforts of our staff, students and parents, culminating in the ISQM accreditation visit this week, which has been a resounding success. I would like to express my profound gratitude to the staff in the primary school, and across the campus, who have worked so hard in the build up for this very important week at ISP. More details on the visiting team’s findings will follow from Mr Jon & Mr Dalton, once the written report is completed in the coming weeks.
Today is our annual Deepavali celebration, with many different activities planned across the primary school, and a special assembly this afternoon. Children and staff look fantastic in their outfits today, and a particular ‘well-done’ to our new teachers, who have wholeheartedly embraced their first cultural celebration at ISP! Thank you to parents who have helped decorate the school for Deepavali, and for helping children with their outfits for the day.
Book Week is a special annual event at ISP and Book Week 2017 is fast approaching! We start on Monday 30th October, which is the second week back after our upcoming half-term holiday. Our costume parade this year is on the Monday morning; here are some ideas to go with our non-fiction theme:
As usual, we encourage children to come in costume related to our theme, but they are also welcome to wear another book-related outfit too. More details about the many exciting things happening during Book Week 2017 to follow after the holiday.
Lastly this week, a huge thank you to everyone for making our new children, families and staff feel so welcome at ISP during their first half term. Best wishes to families celebrating Deepavali next week, and see you back in school on Monday 23rd October.
