End of Term 1 Message from the Vice Principal

Dear ISP Families,

I would like to wish you all a happy holiday and safe travels if you are travelling anywhere, I am sure your children are excited for the break. After such a busy and successful term, I know our teachers and classroom assistants are also looking forward to the break.

When we reflect at the end of each term, we always note how much has happened. This term has been no exception, and if anything it has been one of our busiest and best. Our staff have worked tirelessly often going above and beyond expectations and it remains a privilege to work amongst such a talented and dedicated staff.   So many wonderful events have taken place, as you will know if you follow us on Twitter (@ispKL). If you have not yet seen our Twitter feed or do not use Twitter, you can view it on the school website; Mr Ian has done an excellent job of keeping this updated and sharing many fantastic photographs.

For me there are two highlights that I would like to pick out this term. The first was the incredibly successful ISQM Accreditation in which we were awarded Gold. You may not realise, but to be awarded Gold, a school only needs to be given outstanding in 3 specific areas. The fact that ISP was judged to be outstanding in all eight areas was an incredible and quite rare achievement and one which we all feel extremely proud of.

My second highlight was the recent secondary production of Grease. I may say this each year, but it was my favourite show that we have put on so far; the students were fantastic and the singing and dancing was of such a high standard. I enjoyed each night of the show and can not seem to get the songs out of my head, which I am sure must be quite annoying as I walk around whistling to myself.

Looking ahead to next term there is also much to be excited about, but for now it is time to enjoy the holidays. Have a Merry Christmas, if you are celebrating, and a Happy New Year.

Best Wishes,

Mr Jon
